Welcome to AAUW-Wisconsin
Making A Difference in the Lives of Women and Girls
AAUW is open to all graduates who hold an associate's or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. The American Association of University Women promotes equity of women and girls, life-long education and self-development and positive societal change.
AAUW-Wisconsin works to further the policies and programs of the Association. By fostering the development and maintenance of high standards of education, strengthening the fellowship among university alumni so that they may work towards the solution of social and civic problems, securing broader opportunities for women and supporting the work of 2200 members in 41 branches throughout the state, AAUW-WI seeks to make a difference in the lives of Wisconsin women and girls. AAUW-WI networks with Wisconsin colleges and universities and works in partnership with diverse organizations to achieve its goals. Some of these partners include Wisconsin Women's Network, Great Lakes United and the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign.
In addition to the programs, advocacy and initiatives of the Association, AAUW achieves its purposes through the work of two sister organizations, the Educational Foundation and Legal Advocacy Foundation.
