From Barbara Peterson:
Greeting to all AAUW Board Members:
It is a busy time of year yet I hope you will take the time to book your hotel room and let us know if you can join us for a River Falls reception on Friday evening, January 15th.
I have booked 10 rooms at the Best Western River Falls for the evening of January 15th which will be held for “AAUW” until December 28th, 2009. After that date the rooms will be released for regular booking. I doubt all rooms will be full but the rate may change. The rate for you is $99.99 plus 10.5% sales and room tax. You can use AARP membership for a 10% rate reduction. I have not been asked to show my card when I booked with the AARP rate elsewhere.
I saw the rooms today. They are holding rooms with two double beds so you may want to share the accommodations. The hotel is new this fall and each room has a coffee maker, a large refrigerator and a microwave. There is a hairdryer in each bath, plus ironing board and iron. “Juniors” restaurant is open in the hotel in the late afternoon and evening. A continental breakfast is served in the lobby. An underground heated parking space is furnished for each room. See the hotel at: bestwesternriverfalls.com.
Our River Falls branch would like to hold a reception in your honor. Please let us know if you will be arriving on Friday evening. We are thinking in terms of a 7:00 p.m. Friday reception.
We look forward to having you come to River Falls, home of the UW-River Falls Falcons and so much more! Come early and stay late. The Mall of America is not far away.
Please respond to me regarding your plans,
Barbara Peterson
